Bosch, Tata AutoComp Plan E-Mobility JV

Bosch Limited and Tata AutoComp Systems set out a JV targeting India’s electric mobility market. Operations begin mid-2026 pending regulatory approvals, with headquarters in Pune.

The partnership combines Bosch’s global engineering expertise—backed by over 6 billion euros invested globally in e-mobility—with Tata AutoComp’s manufacturing capabilities and localization strengths. The venture will engineer, manufacture and sell eAxle systems and electric motors.

Both company boards approved the transaction. The JV addresses demand from India’s rapid electrification transition while delivering scalable technologies meeting local requirements and global standards.

Bosch views battery electric technology as the definitive path to low emissions in passenger cars and select commercial vehicle segments. As the world’s third-largest automotive market, India presents growth opportunities for localized production of advanced mobility solutions.

Tata AutoComp Vice Chairman Arvind Goel noted the Indian mobility ecosystem is undergoing transformation driven by electrification, localization and the need for scalable technology. The collaboration brings complementary strengths in engineering, technology and manufacturing.
