Adani Green Energy Adds 510 MW in Gujarat, Crosses 17.9 GW

Adani Green Energy Limited brought 510.1 MW of renewable capacity online at Khavda, Gujarat, on March 22, 2026, pushing total operational capacity to 17,982.3 MW.

The projects include 300 MW solar, 139.1 MW wind, and 71 MW hybrid installations. Commissioning happened through multiple step-down subsidiaries, following regulatory clearances, power generation commenced the same day as operationalization.

Khavda is emerging as a major renewable hub. The site’s geographic and climatic conditions favor large-scale solar and wind development, and AGEL has been steadily expanding capacity there.

With nearly 18 GW operational, AGEL remains among India’s largest renewable energy players. The capacity addition aligns with the company’s strategy to scale renewables and contribute to national clean energy targets.

The Gujarat expansion reinforces AGEL’s focus on hybrid projects that combine solar and wind, smoothing generation curves and improving grid stability. The March commissioning marks another step in AGEL’s long-term buildout across favorable renewable sites.
