Action Construction Equipment and Japan’s Kato Works established ACE KATO Private Limited, a 50:50 joint venture requiring approximately ₹200 crore in capital. Operations will soon begin at their Haryana facility manufacturing heavy-capacity cranes for domestic and international markets.
The partnership combines ACE’s position as the world’s largest pick-and-carry crane manufacturer with Kato Works’ decades of mobile crane and excavator engineering. The venture will produce truck cranes, crawler cranes and rough terrain cranes.
ACE sees the collaboration as positioning India as a strategic manufacturing hub for advanced lifting equipment. Kato Works brings proprietary technologies and design expertise to enhance product performance and cost efficiency.
Beyond serving India’s infrastructure boom, the JV targets export opportunities across Asia, the Middle East and Africa. The collaboration reflects how global equipment manufacturers are establishing Indian manufacturing bases to serve regional growth and access cost-competitive production.
