ABB India is pumping $75 million into manufacturing capacity and research infrastructure during 2026, following a $35 million investment the previous year. The capital deployment spreads across five strategic locations as the company positions India as a core node in its global supply chain.
The investment comes right after ABB India transferred its robotics operations to the parent company’s global robotics division for approximately ₹1,568 crore, letting the India unit concentrate on Electrification, Motion, and Automation segments where domestic demand is accelerating.
The expansion aligns with ABB’s “local-for-local” manufacturing strategy—roughly 85 percent of products sold in India come from domestic facilities. The company projects more than 300 skilled positions across engineering, operations, and R&D roles.
